After 9i installation on Linux - sqlplus error

Hi,



I've just installed 9i(9.2.0.1) on Linux, the installation is successful.
However, when starting sqlplus, error comes up:



"Error ORA-07217: sltln: Environment variable cannot be evaluated"



Has anyone come across this problem before, what does "sltln" implies, any
clue to resolve it?


Hope some one could help, very much appreciated !
