We did this move 6 months ago and it really went bad on Window 2000 Adv.
The problem was purely Oracle related.

I never managed to find any good check list on this (this is why we failed).
And I didn`t write one. :(

We scred up so much the system that you can`t believe it. So, watch your backs.

My only advise is, Do an export of every single schema (except sys and system). If everything goes bad you will be able to rebuild your system from scratch.

On Windows 2000 re-installing Oracle seems to be easier than upgrading it ... but for an old fox it likely won't be the case. Received on Thu Mar 06 2003 - 11:53:27 CST
