I found myself in a situation where, as a developer of many years experience, I have to set up a new oracle server with minimal DBA help.
SAME may not be the ultimate solution in all situations but it will same me a huge amount of faffing about and will give good performance (even if it is not the best) so I will use it.

Funnily enough, I started reading the same article thinking "Yeah, right" and ended up thinking "Ah. Yes."!
