And here some addtional OS information concerning your OS. Is patchkit 3 installed ? :-))

O/S Information:

• 5.1a patchkit 3 or greater is required. You must also edit the following parameters in the /etc/sysconfigtab file: vm: new_wire_method = 0 vfs: fifo_do_adaptive = 0
• The following additional O/S patche is also required:
  1. T64V51AB3-C0074700-15747-E-20021018.tar (C747.00 PatchId) -- Fix directIO stale data problem with clones o Patches can be obtained from: http://ftp1.support.compaq.com/public/unix/v5.1a/earlyreleasepatches/oracle
