Don't get your hopes up. 9iAS, aka 9iAmSorry(?) installs on sles or RHAS only.

If you want to run on something that look a bit more up to date, you might just accept the OS requirements and then update X and the other stuff as you need.

Sure hope the database people don't follow in the iAS people's tracks and specify downlevel operating systems for their software.
