Problem linking Oracle library

I'm using the gcc-2.95.3 compiler to build an Oracle OCI application of a
SUN box (Sun OS 5.9). The linker is generating the message "libclntsh.so is
an incompatible library."  We have had no problems building the same program
with the same version of gcc on Linux and HP-UX.



I would appreciate your comments and suggestions.
