Well, I'll definitely be there this year. I hear Rich Niemic is going to defend his asinine views on buffer cache hit ratio tuning. Can't wait to heckle that one. I would not actually, overtly heckle of course, but it will be hard to avoid giggling out loud.

I also hear several others will be presenting more rational views based on actual science. Should be interesting this year.

IOUG offers considerably more technical content, in proportion, than Oracleworld. It seems to be the "dba event", so if geekdom is your domain, it is the place to be.
