Hi,

At the site I am currently working we have an Oracle 9iR2 database running on Redhat 7.2 linux. This database is communicating with a Cloverleaf 3.8.1 communcation server running on Windows 2k server edition.

The problem is that when starting a connection from Oracle to the communication server this takes upto 8 seconds. As each connection is closed after one message has been send we are experiencing a big performance problem.

We have tried to keep the connection alive, but this resulted in the messages being overwriten by the next message.

Does anybody out the there have experience with this combination of products and maybe give me some pointers as to were to start tunning this.

Thanx,
