Strangely enough, the country which suffers from the most cold related deaths every year, is England !
I suspect this is some ratio or other, based upon size of population etc, but it appears that simply by not wearing hats (or keeping properly warm) , our bodies lose 33% of our heat through the head and that thickens the blood. Thick blood all day leads to a heart attack at night.

An unfortunate thing for England to be 'top of the world' in.
