Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> cannot start Oracle Universal Installer
I have big problems with Oracle Universal Installer. I installed, some
times ago,oracle failsafe 3.1.2 on windows2000 platform.As you
know, there are some problems with it,so I copyed the cd on the machine
and rename dll symctji. With these operations the installer started and
I installed failsafe without problems.Anyway, this version of failsafe
has some bugs,so I need now to deinstall it and put the version 3.2.1.
The real problem is that the Oracle Universal Installer doesn't work
anymore:First of all I tried to start the installer from the version I
copyed on the machine(3.1.2) but it doesn't work anymore. Then I tryed
to start the installer from the cd of failsafe 3.2.1(this works
correctly on other machine) but it hangs and does not
start.Obviously,is a problem on my machine. I try to search some
solutions and some forums suggested me to rename the system variable
CLASSPATH or put it in double quotes.. but this variable does not
exist on my and on the machine where FAILSAFE 3.2.1 start
correctly. What is thi variable? Another chance is to use the OUI
2.1.0.2.0 (i'm using 2.0.1.6.0).What can I do??where I can find this
version of OUI?
Thank You so much..I hope to hearing from You soon..it's very urgent..
