This is exactly the problem. Set markup ... was introduced in version 8.1.6. I'm afraid your original post rather led me to assume that you were using 8.1.6 (since that was the version number you quoted) though rereading it I see that you only gave the server version number. Anyway an upgrade of the client should give you what you need.
