I'm trying to implement row-level security on a 9.0.1 database (let's
say database AA). The user will be reaching the database through a
Discoverer Portlet displayed in Portal 9.2 which is on a machine remote
from database AA.
I'd like to assign a VPD predicate based upon the lightweight portal
username. The question is, what function returns the portal username
that I can call from database AA? I need something like like the
equivalent of SYSCONTEXT('userenv','current_user'), but where 'current
user' is really 'lightweight portal user'. Anybody know how to do this?
Or is there some other way of performing this task? Thanks!
