Re: Problems installing Oracle 9i on Win2k Server

Hi Trevor,

Hard to figure out exactly what is wrong, but here are a few hints :

1. If you install Oracle 9i in an existing Orahome, deinstall the old Oracle version with OUI, reboot and try the installation again
2. Even if you have deinstalled the old Oracle version, it will leave some files (typically *.dll). The new installation tries to overwrite these, but may fail, because W2K assumes these files are in use. Then delete those files manually, reboot and try installation again.
3. Polish the Cd's !
