Sure
- You get an error - You don't look it up in the Server Messages Manual - You don't look in the net 8 administrators manual - You post it immediately to this group - you get the response this is a FAQ - it means you are using a service name which is not in tnsnames.ora,and most likely you have multiple tnsnames.ora floating around - get them in sync and set the TNS_ADMIN string var
Of course you wouldn't have posted this question if you would have searched the archives before posting. But why avoid wasting people's spare free time, eh?
