RedHat upgrade

Hello

I have RedHat 7.1 and oracle 8.1.7. And I have question about system upgrade. up2date found new rpm's in redhat database, what will happend after upgrade ? There are new glibc and other libs for update. What should I do after system upgrade with database. I think that glibc update will have efect on oracle. I think that I shoud relink oracle. Did any one run glibc upgrade on system with oracle ?

I need any information about system updating and oracle on redhat.
