The original poster did not mention the exact database version. The first version of 8.1.7 would not start automaticaly when using the ORA_DBA authentication. Hardcoding the Oracle NT account was a perfect work-around. That is why I suggested this. Received on Sun Aug 11 2002 - 04:01:59 CDT
