Of course. Sorry, I misread the original post. The thing about those block waits is not so much the number, but the total time. So, if you get lots of events with little or no measurable time involved, I would not worry about it. And the time is all relative to all other wait events' total time, so you need to start with the big picture. Statspack is a pretty good tool for that.

For a Statspack analysis, I would suggest starting with the top wait events, to put things into perspective. Also clip out the tablespace and file IO statistics to look for contention. If the report zips up small enough, go ahead and post the whole thing as an attachment, otherwise the clips suggested will suffice.
