Right now we're upgrading databases to 8.1.7. As many before me pointed a very stable release with no major problems (as I know). I'm starting looking after 9i rel2 and preparing upgrade of our system to this very release. However, "starting looking for new version" means in our terms that first 9i in our company will go to production in February or March 2003. Seems to me like good time for moving to 9i. Main reason why I want to use 9i is called RAC, it would help our clusters with performance. To be honest I must admit that I do not want to implement OPS here.

Note: pagesflames_at_usa.net has been cancelled due to changes (maybe we
can call it an overture to bankruptcy) on that server. I'm still using
this email to prevent SPAM. Maybe one day I will change it and have a
proper mail even for news, but right now I can be reached by this
email.
