Re: rollback segment too old

i think i should explain my problem a little bit more. basically there is a table 'x' and there are around 6 inserts per minute into this table and around four updates per minute. All the updates are single row updates.
i am basically doing a load test before the system goes online and i am stuck with this ora1555 for the past 1 week.

we do these load tests (using simulators) during the night. there are many other activities like this going on in the system but i don't get ora-1555 for any of those.

all queries are short ones.

it is not that i get these errors once in a while during night runs, but after it starts happening i get it continously for an hour or so. so at the end of the test, the success rate will be some where around 80% when i am expected to provide 100% success rate.

will increasing the number of rollback segment help, or should i increase the optimal size?
