 Hi,

I have this strange problem with the IA (8.1.7) on Solaris cluster: the dbsnmp process starts well,
it processes the oratab file and discovers the correct database instance, processes listener.ora file and "discovers" the correct listener name; but, after that, everything is completely strange: for some reason, cannot do the match between the database and it's listener so I can see (all the information is taken from dbsnmp trace logs) the database sid as been UNCOVERED(!).
I have to say the listener has not the default name of LISTENER, but people can connect to server.

The snmp_ro.ora contain only one line:
snmp.visibleservices = ()
except those referring the ifiles,
snmp_rw.ora is empty and services.ora has only node related information.

Please give me an advice.

Thanks in advance,
