The only well known rule about the naming is the first two characters
of most (not all) x$ tables. Look at Figure 1-1 of Steve Adams' book
(or at http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/orinternals/chapter/ch01.html).
Everything about x$ tables is proprietary. We can only guess what they
mean. For example, my guess is at
