PC Magazine did a shootout between the databases using the same equipment. It showed Oracle9i beating out almost all others (other than a pure Windows environment using SQL2000). This was with a non-optimized Oracle installation (at least not optimized by Oracle Corp.). Look in their archives, it couldn't have been more than a month ago.
