8 or 9 years ago the difference between DB2 390 and  DB2 UDB was that the second
barely existed.
That's like complaining about a bug/deficiencies in Oracle 7 (or further?). Also
AFAIK that long ago there was a lot less dynamic SQL around, especially on a
mainframe.
