Honestly: I've spent the better part of my professional life trying to help people. I can't say I've never passed the smart-assed comment to prove my superiority, because I have. And I instantly regret it the second the SEND button is clicked.
But I think I have managed to avoid the complete put-down; the 'God, you must be stupid' comment; the 'I know so much I can't be bothered to treat you as someone in need' post.
Can't we just try and be helpful or silent?
