Dont you love the crappy Windows registry/scatterfiles architecture?

This is what I would do if it is possible to completely start over.

  1. Use the Oracle Installer to Un-install everything.
  2. Delete any remnants of Oracle files. (a quick find on *ora* may help; but be careful).
  3. Delete all Oracle registry keys.
  4. Reboot.
  5. Re-install.

It's likely you wont have to re-install, however I've noticed w/ Windows installations the troubleshooting is a very "case by case" basis. Hopefully this helps; maybe some others have some tips that will avoid a complete re-installation. Received on Mon Apr 29 2002 - 17:10:42 CDT
