Evidently the SUN must be running X-software. As there is no graphic card in the SUN, it probably won't even start, you definitely need to verify that. There are various X products for PC on the market, you are referring to Exceed by Hummingbird. You should be able to get a trial version. Also you might want to check out tucows, www.tucows.com , has several X emulators for PC
