Re: How Is The Job Market for Oracle DBA's?

My statements did not blame anyone. Frank asked what H1B means (a reasonable question) and that there are quite a large number of people here from India working on a H1B visa (China to a lesser extent). These are facts and nothing more or less.

My comment about a consulting company here advertising for only people with Indian extraction is that it goes against our Department of Labor laws and is illegal. The hiring of people of Indian extraction is not illegal and I am not against that (I work with and have worked with professionals that are of Indian extraction and we get along fine as do I with everyone else). I am against discrimination by race, color, etc. especially when it is so blatant. I don't believe that someone of Indian extraction will do a better or worse job, just that that should NOT be the criteria for hiring a DBA. Jim
