Correctomundo - that was the problem - the ct wanted a mutual takeover setup
with Tru64 on CFS - they didn't
want Oracle 8i OPS or 9i RAC. Now - the installer detects the cluster
manager and the available nodes.
The system engineer working on it automatically thought he/she had to select
the 2 nodes. When doing so things got
screwed up because both nodes can see *every* filesystem ( $ORACLE_HOME and
root include ) ... so things
go wrong while copying from the install media to disk and the linking
completely fails ;-)
Apart from that - I still think CFS is the coolest thing out there and I
hope Oracle will incorperate it in all
their future RAC implementations ...
