Hi!
I have a course of database for which I need to install Oracle8. I
installed oracle by specifiant a " SID ". Thereafter, I wanted to
remove this version of oracle. While wanting to reinstall oracle on my
computer, I am confronted with a problem: when for this reinstalment I
specify the same SDI that at the time of the first installation, I
receive a message like what "this SDI already exists". Then I made a
search on my computer which led me to remove things as " SDIQueries "
bus for me it is what prevented me from specifying the same SDI as at
the time of the first installation. After this suppression, I tried to
reinstall Oracle. Now I encounter another problem. With a stage of the
installation I receive an error message as what " an error occurred
during the loading ". When I circumvent this error to pass at the
following stage of the installation, I receive another error message
which is the following: " an error occurred at the time of the request
for this component: Oracle8i Server 8.1.5.0.0
java.io.IOException:C:\Program
Files\Oracle\Inventory\Queries\SIDQueries\1.0\1\sidQueries jar ".
During a whole day I did not manage to find a solution with this
problem in order to arrive at the installation of Oracle. I ask of the
assistance to any person having a good knowledge of oracle and
multitudes problems involved in oracle. I impatiently await an answer
in order to be able to install oracle and complete my work of
database.
