ebu catalog in 8i instance?

Hi,

We're migrating for Oracle 7.3.4 to 8.1.7. We have an 8.1.7 instance (properly named "catalog") that houses the rman backup catalog.

Now I wonder if it is possible to run the EBU catalog under this same (8i) instance (yet another 7 instance less!)

Questions:

1. Is it possible to have an ebu catalog running under 8i?
2. If yes, how to create/migrate the catalog from 7 to 8?
