Even if you could recover the datafile, your database would be out of
sync!!



You will need to perform media recovery if I understand your problem
correctly.



Since when do managers log in to UNIX boxes at all?  Doesnt he have
some MS Projects stuff to update or a clipboard to fondle?  A golf
game to play?
