A candidate for this position should possess a sound understanding of fundamental programming and relational database concepts. The person should also be motivated and willing to learn new technologies and skills on an ongoing basis as well as possess the ability and desire to work in a team oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is required.

In particular, the following technology areas and skills are necessary and/or preferred:

The candidate should have experience (1-2 yrs minimum) developing software applications utilizing the Oracle database and Structured Query Language (SQL). Examples include:

· Oracle PL/SQL
· SQR
The candidate should also have experience in at least one of the following areas of application development:

PeopleSoft HRMS, Financials, or Student Administration

AND/OR 2. Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), including Java Servlets, JavaServer Pages, and Enterprise JavaBeans. Also, knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts is preferred. Received on Mon Mar 04 2002 - 19:03:45 CST
