My version (that I believe that I had this problem with, not the
current one I'm using) appears to be 8.1.5. according to the book it
came in. It came as a 60day trial with a book "O8i for Windows Starter
Kit" by S Brobowski that I got ages ago but I can't find the CD any
more, and wouldn't load it if I could now I've got 9i.
