PS8 is *not* certified for 9i, so I would not recommend it. 8.1.7.3 is the latest Oracle version certified by PS8 at this time. I'd wait for PS to certify on a given version before I'd even consider using it.

OTOH, I'm using 9i for other applications... we have had a few minor problems (some fixed in the 9012 patchset), but we are fighting an interesting change in DBMS_DESCRIBE right now...

I like Oracle9i, after all, I did write the book on it! :-)
