You can name the database SID whatever you want, and then change the TNS connect name to something else. Just my opinion, but should users really dictate what the databases be named?

Anyways, some good 4-letter words for DB's, besides the obvious obscenities:

TEST
PROD (Production)
DEVL (Development)
INTG (Integration)
