Oracle External Authentication and UNIX groups

I'm trying to use external authentication in a way that would allow me to specify the UNIX groups for which permissions are granted instead of account names. I know about os_roles=true but I have a mixed environment with both Oracle internal roles and users as well as external authenticated users. From what I understand Oracle operates in only one role resolution mode (i.e. OS_ROLES or internal roles) Is there any other way to set up identified externally style permissions based on groups?

Thanks
