REPOST: SQL Server7 db link to Oracle8i

Goal - to setup a linked server in SQL Server7 (sp3 - MDAC v2.5 - on Win2000) to be able to read tables in Oracle8i (v8.1.5 - on Sun Solaris) that stores data with clobs.

MS Oracle OLE/ODBC drivers do not support this. I have installed Oracle OLE v8.1.7 drivers on the Win2000 server, but am unable to setup this connection correctly. The latest error came back as a MS error:7356. After extensive searching for this error code, I am unable to come up with anything real to follow.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
