I have RedHat 6.2.

The Oracle 8i for linux CD(I got this from ORACLE 8I for LINUX Starter Kit - by Steve Bobrowski) has a Oracle client. When you install Oracle for Linux, you have two available products: 8i enterprise edition and 8i client. What's this 8i client product for? Can I install this client ONLY on Linux? Thanks!
