Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> svrmgrl & TNS adapter error
Hello there!
I'm using Oracle 8.1.7 E.E. on Windows 2000 and I have a situation here:
On command prompt:
c:\>set ORACLE_SID=xxx
c:\>svrmgrl
Oracle Server Manager Release 3.1.7.0.0 - Production
Copyright (c) 1997, 1999, Oracle Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
SVRMGR> connect internal/change_on_install_at_xxx
Connected.
SVRMGR>
Why the first time it didn't work? And why I get that TNS error
although I set the env variable previously??? I have no clue...
Any visual tools work perfectly with 'xxx' database and I can connect to it.
I must solve this because I want to create a new DB by scripts and I need to invoke the svrmgrl tool with 'connect INTERNAL' which will fail!
If you need more information, pls ask.
Thank you for your time!
