Can I create portal apps on a schema on a difference instance?

I have 9ias Portal 3.08 components(portal30,portal_sso..) installed on
instance A. I have a schema setup on instance B. I would like to know
how can I build an application on portal page and have the portal page
connect to the schema on instance B?



On portal home, I clicked on "Navigator" the "Create New Application".
But I


am not able to choose other schema on other instance. Could you show
me step


by step procedure.
