The program field is set by the programs known to oracle and I don't know how to set it. What you can do is to a MODULE filed by using the DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO PL/SQL package which can set the module field within V$SESSION and you can use it instead of the PROGRAM field. The package is described in the oracle supplied packages refrence.
