I did this last week. There is a document on the Mandrake forum you can follow.

This is correct

1. Use gnome or kde (make sure number lock is off)
2. Don't downgrade to glibc 2.1.3... works stock outta box
3. I installed the sun JDK 1.3.1 instead of the blackdown

I did what they said and I did not have a problem. Once you have it installed   put the jre from the blackdown site in $ORACLE_HOME/jre. That was the only way I could get netasst to run.
