Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> help: tnsping does not work
I am using VPN at home trying to connect oracle database at company. I do
not have problem connect to our development database, but our production
database is at another location, and there is a firewall and a switch
between us. I can PING the machine with the IP address, but when I use
TNSPING, even though it points to the right IP address, I always got the
error that "operation times out " no matter how much I increase the
CONNECT_TIMEOUT parameters in listener.ora, I am sure it is not that
CONNECT_TIMEOUT in listener.ora is big enough.
Could somebody give me some hint how to fix this problem?
