large data loads

I have a group of developers who are loading large amounts of data into a data warehouse. Every insert is firing triggers to translate the raw data and disperse the information to other tables and schemas.

This is putting a decent strain on the database machine which is used for other (production) purposes. I don't want to add capacity because this is pretty much a one time load.

Does anybody know of a place that will rent out DB space? I'd like to import the relevant schemas, finish the data load and development, and then export/import it back into our environment.

Should I consider loading personal oracles onto their workstations for this? Their work is pretty much independant of each other at this point.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.
