I've been working on/with 9iAS for a couple of months. Please keep in mind that 9iAS is just Oracle's "packaging" of at least SIX different & distinct products into a "bundle".
1) Forms60 Server 2) Reports60 Serever 3) Portal 3 4) Web Chache 5) Database Cache 6) Discoverer
While some of these products store objects within a DB, others do NOT store ANY objects within a DB.
Simply put, it all depends upon which piece of 9iAS you are talking about.
