I got it to install eventually by deleting a file from one of the
directories. I can't remember the exact location or name, but the solution
is all over the forums within the oracle technology network. The only issue
I have heard of is installing it since the univeral installer doesn't quite
work right in xp, but deleting the file appears to solve the issue.
