You are correct - I should have rather asked whether this is doable from
your
experience. I have searched through this group's archives at google and
have found postings where the writers were having difficulties with this
exact situation - but after help was provided with their problems, no one
replied whether the installation was successful. Which still leaves me with
this question - In your experience, can one install Oracle 8.1.6 on Solaris
8 Intel?
