Hi, All!
I received new server (intel-based, 8CPU, 8.5Gb RAM) and about to use %subj% feature for oracle (8.1.7.2). Does anybody have any experience with indirect_data_buffers?

I did following:
- setup general/dedicated memory (4Gb/4.5Gb) and DSHM

So, after that i couldn't startup my instance: SVRMGR> startup nomount
ORA-27102: out of memory
Intel SVR4 UNIX Error: 12: Insufficient or invalid memory SVRMGR> SGA is tiny (1000 blocks) and most of memory is free... Without this parameter (use_indirect_data_buffers) instance starts fine... Any ideas? Did i miss something?

PS. At the moment support couldn't solve this problem.

Metalink is silent about this trick on Unixware...
