I have something starnge (where starnge is deined as something I don not understand) going on with a 7.3.4.5 instance.

I shut it down this morning, and when I restarted it the smon process started using about 20% of the CPU, and I am geting failry high disk I/O rates (as meausred with HP's Glance product).

To the best of my knoledge, there should be no active conectiosn to this databse yet!

How can I determine who.what is connected?

Also is there anyway that I can determine what smon is doing?
