advice on 9i <-> Linux

hi there,

I am currently using an oracle 8.1.7 db on an windows NT platform. I need to build more reliable clusters and want to see whatr linux can do for me.
But i don't knwo anything on the Oracle-linux combination So i hope somebody can asnwer a few simple questions for me ??

redhat or suse ?? or ......??
How reliable is theoracle clustering of 9i ??
